About The Event

The Singapore Heartland Enterprise Summit (SHES) is a gathering of industry experts to cross-share on latest trends, new business models and showcase successful case studies.

Through curated pre-Summit workshops, experiential learning journeys, the signature conference event and panel discussions, SHES provides heartland enterprises with important insights and market knowledge to meet the changing needs of today’s consumers.

SHES has engaged more than 5,000 heartland enterprises since 2014 and serves as an effective networking platform for business and government leaders.

The Singapore Heartland Enterprise Summit 2024 has successfully concluded!

Over 400 participants representing close to 300 enterprises attended the Annual Singapore Heartland Enterprise Summit on 27 Jun 2024 at the Auditorium located at the HDB Hub Convention Centre.

It was a day of enriching sharing sessions and panel discussions, offering invaluable insights, knowledge, and networking prospects to advance their personal and business growth. The theme for SHES 2024 is “Innovate & Elevate”. The theme for this year encourages innovation and the fostering of collaboration and partnership. In today’s rapidly evolving global landscape, the success of businesses hinges upon their ability to innovate, adapt, and collaborate effectively. Through the summit, we aim to share success stories of homegrown businesses to inspire our heartland businesses to scale beyond their current model.

Guest-of-Honour, Ms Low Yen Ling, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Trade and Industry & Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth graced the event. Distinguished Speakers Mr. Loh Jwee Poh (Founder & CEO of Mr Bean), Ms. Yvon Bock (Founder & CEO of Hegen) and Mr. Tan Jian Yong (Founder & CEO of Happy Fish Swim School); all of whom shared their entrepreneurial journeys and participated in an insightful panel discussion moderated by Ms. Chew Mok Lee (Enterprise Fellow of Enterprise Singapore and Advisor to FMAS).

Participants gained insights from the exhibition booths and sharing sessions by our partners. It was an enriching platform for knowledge sharing, networking, business opportunities, market insights, inspiration and professional development, all of which can contribute to the growth and success of the participants and the retail industry as a whole.

Pre-summit learning journey, a prelude to Singapore Heartland Enterprise Summit 2024

As a run-up to the Singapore Heartland Enterprise Summit 2024, learning journeys to enterprises were curated as a knowledge resource. A total of 42 enterprises participated in these learning journeys.

Happy Fish Swim School

18 enterprises with a total of 22 participants attended the learning journey at Happy Fish Swim School on 26 Apr 2024.

Participants had the opportunity to tour their indoor swimming pool facility and listen to the founder’s experience and competitive innovative ideas to improve facilities, equipment and customer experience. They also learned about collaborative partnerships with brands and personalities to enhance marketing strategies.

NTUC Fairprice Finest at Clarke Quay 

26 enterprises with 43 participants embarked on the learning journey at NTUC FairPrice Finest at Clarke Quay, the newly launched store on 30 May 2024.

Participants gained insights on the motivations behind location selection, creative use of retail space to enhance customer experience and unique collaborations. They were also introduced to a wider assortment of local fresh produce , the concept of in-store dining and a tailored customer experience.
