About The Event
The Hawkers’ Food Talk Series 2024 celebrates and promotes Singapore’s rich hawker culture. Food stall owners, from those preserving longstanding family traditions to first-generation entrepreneurs, joined host Capital 958 FM DJ Qiu Sheng Yang as they shared their culinary specialties, heritage, stories of generational succession, and their journey into the hawker trade.
The series featured four sessions, held at different hawker centres from 2 November to 7 December 2024. Each session lasted approximately two hours, where participants enjoyed delicious hawker dishes from various stalls while listening to the unique stories behind them. This engaging experience was designed to deepen appreciation for Singapore’s beloved hawker culture.
