About The Event
The Singapore Hawkers’ Celebration and Awards 2025 is an annual platform where hawkers come together to celebrate hawkers’ achievements, exchange ideas and contribute to ongoing efforts to sustain the hawker trade.
Introduced in 2021, this annual event for the local hawkers’ community commends the innovative and entrepreneurial spirit of hawkers who run cooked food stalls at hawker centres managed by NEA and NEA-appointed operators, and recognises exemplary hawker brands and individuals who have helped to shape the local hawker scene.
This year is especially memorable as it coincides with Singapore’s SG60 celebrations and the 5th anniversary of Hawker Culture’s inscription on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The theme for this year is Honouring Hawkers, Celebrating a Nation, reflecting the pride and appreciation for hawkers as an integral part of Singapore’s cultural identity.
