Marketing & Communications Manager
About the Role
Are you passionate about heartland communities and driven to elevate our precincts, merchants, and hawkers? FMAS is seeking enthusiastic and proactive team players to join us as a Marketing & Communications Manager. In this role, you will lead our Marketing, Communications, and Branding efforts, helping to advance the profile of FMAS and its initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
• Take full ownership of FMAS’s Marketing & Branding efforts, ensuring alignment with its mission and goals.
• Develop and implement marketing strategies to strengthen FMAS’s progression and the success of its members.
• Strategize, create, and execute comprehensive marketing and branding plans for all FMAS projects and initiatives.
• Manage FMAS’s online presence, including its website, social media platforms, and newsletters, ensuring regular and engaging content.
• Formulate social media strategies for FMAS, including crafting consistent posts to boost engagement.
• Oversee the management of social media services for FMAS members subscribed to Shared Secretariat Services, including crafting tailored content.
• Create digital marketing assets for members using FMAS’s digital marketing services.
• Define project scope and objectives, allocating resources to achieve goals efficiently.
• Prepare project budgets, track costs, and ensure projects are delivered within budget.
• Develop and manage detailed project timelines, adjusting plans as necessary to meet goals.
• Provide regular project updates to stakeholders, ensuring clarity on strategies, progress, and any necessary adjustments.
• Liaise with vendors and suppliers, assigning tasks and managing expectations for deliverables.
• Utilize industry best practices and standards to guide project execution, making improvements as needed.
• Monitor project performance, identifying opportunities for enhancement.
Additional Responsibilities
• Lead precinct upgrading projects, overseeing the planning and implementation process.
• Drive business development, marketing, and outreach efforts to grow FMAS’s influence.
• Support membership growth and participate in fundraising activities.
• Undertake additional tasks as delegated by the Management Committee, Executive Director, or Assistant Executive Director.
Requirements
• A positive, passionate attitude towards heartland work.
• Strong analytical skills and a mature, responsible approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proven experience in Marketing, Communications, and Branding.
• Proficiency in digital marketing, social media management, and tools like Canva.
• Knowledge of project budgeting (P&L management).
• Experience working with trade associations is an advantage.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to implement strategies and achieve desired outcomes.
• Highly self-motivated, disciplined, and capable of inspiring others.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet project schedules and deadlines.
